Our sister site BusinessZone.co.uk is taking its small business competition The Pitch 2010 to a brand new enterprise festival in Sheffield on 9 September giving you the chance to pitch your company or idea to big name business experts.

Held as part of MADE: The Entrepreneur Festival, The Pitch Sheffield will feature Wilfred Emmanuel Jones, the entrepreneur behind 'The Black Farmer' range of food products; Call Britannia founder Karen Darby, who also set up energy price comparison service Simply Switch and sold it for £22m three years later and Martin Manning, an investor at M2 Ventures, a member of the Yorkshire Business Angels Association.

The free event takes place at 3pm on 9 September 2010 at Sheffield College, the location for entrepreneur Peter Jones' new National Enterprise Academy which will be launched by the Dragons' Den judge on the morning of 9 September.

During the 90-minute session, Wilfred Emmanuel Jones will share his business success story, Martin Mannning will reveal his tips for pitching success and several lucky delegates will pitch their business to the expert panel. Given the expertise of the judges, the event is a valuable opportunity for any entrepreneur wanting to refine their pitching technique.

If you would like to attend, email [email protected] with your contact details including, if appropriate, the name and website address of your business. If you would like the chance to pitch and receive expert feedback from the panel, please also include up to 100 words outlining your business or idea.
