Home workers cause security headaches

Working from home is threatening businesses security, a cost that is estimated to be around £8.5bn a year.

Network software company Novell warned that homeworkers pose a new threat described as "security teleshirking".

Four out of five homeworkers are ambivalent, according to a Novell survey, rendering them vulnerable to computer viruses and hackers.

According to Novell, the problem is one of awareness.
