I used to be an Andersen partner - now life is much more fun
In a sense, The Funding Corporation FD Stephen Buckley owes his career to the collapse of Enron. Though it's likely that, as a natural high-flyer, he'd have found himself alright even if the energy giant hadn't gone belly up.
Buckley, 37, left Oxford at the age of 20, with a first in Maths. He was the top rated tax adviser in an Institute of Chartered Accountants awards scheme, and in 1999, at the age of 31, became the youngest ever UK partners at Arthur Andersen, where he stayed for three years until Arthur Andersen spectacular collapse.
