KPMG's US business under fire

The US accountancy watchdog has found "significant deficiencies" in audits performed by KPMG's US business.

In its first annual inspection of a Big Four firm, the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB), which was set up under the US Sarbanes-Oxley Act, highlighted 19 audits where it found serious flaws during its 2004 inspection of KMPG.
