Social Media Whitepaper

The debate around social media is an interesting one and to be fair sometimes I am more convinced about the merits of its use on some days than others...but that's the thing, we have to see the benefit before really widespread acceptance will follow and some companies and organisations are just more open to trying new things - wasn't it the same with email a little while back (my husband's employer is only just accepting that!).

I am Finance Manager of two companies; www.theblueballroom.com and www.thebluedoor.com

I am surrounded by talented individuals who, as a corporate whole deliver internal and external messenging for large corporations using a variety of media - from the "traditional" magazines and newsletters to the more "radical / avant garde" online solutions! As the "archaic" Finance Manager I'm constantly trying to keep abreast of the many solutions that are available and championed by the younger members of our team - and thats the nub of the matter I think - as the younger generation enter the workplace I think they'll expect to see the likes of Twitter, Yammer, Facebook etc playing some part in the communications and operational processes of their employer and so I think, like it or not, we all have to try and understand the merits and possible downsides of each before passing uninformed judgement!

Why not download the free Social Media whitepaper that the teams have written from our website - follow the link at the bottom of the post - and join me in finding out more.
