• Improved financial reconciliation, matching and automation of inefficient manual processes
• Better transaction flow and improved mistake proofing environment
• Focus on delivering value to customers

CODA Group, the finance software specialist, today announced a new contract with Homeloan Management Limited (HML), which will see it improve financial controls in the business to support a lean operations strategy.

HML deals primarily with mortgage administration via outsourcing arrangements and administers mortgages for clients both in the UK and Ireland. Services include the imaging and processing of paper based forms, managing mortgage arrears, dealing with customer enquiries as well as managing financial reconciliations against mortgage accounts.

“We have spent the last 12 months reviewing our financial reconciliation processes and associated activities to identify potential process and efficiency improvements,” said Neil Warman, HML’s Finance Director. “To date, processes have been predominantly manual, working with in excess of 200 spreadsheets, which has created a number of operational challenges as our client base grows. CODA's Financials and Analytic Explorer software will automate much of this activity and provide us with powerful and comprehensive reporting. We expect these improvements to help us achieve our objectives for lean operations.”

CODA's Analytic Explorer software will enable HML to extract key data directly from the CODA finance system and to analyse and model the figures. The system enables managers and other information users to simply and quickly build multi-dimensional analysis “cubes” of data relevant to their business area and then view and manipulate the results in reporting tools such as MS Excel or Reporting Services.

“Using this software, customer response times will be dramatically improved and errors reduced,” continued Warman. “A leaner, more responsive and reliable business will ensure we offer a ‘first class’ service as well as achieving time and cost reductions.”
