CODA signs partnership with Version One for integrated financials and document management

CODA, the finance systems specialist, today announced that it has signed a partnership agreement with document management and imaging company, Version One. This new partnership means that Version One’s full suite of document management products are now integrated into CODA’s accounting applications, providing CODA users with document management and imaging functionality.

The agreement extends an existing partnership with Agresso UK in which Version One’s data capture system, DbCapture is supplied and integrated with Agresso Business World. This new partnership enables CODA users to significantly reduce the time, costs and mistakes associated with the processing and management of financial documents. CODA Customers will now be able to electronically create, deliver, authorise, store and retrieve their business documents (invoices, statements, remittance advices etc.) directly from their CODA system. They will also be able to reduce the manual data entry of invoice information by up to 80% using Version One’s DbCapture system.

Martin Smiley, Group Financial Controller, from Cambridge Assessment, anticipates significant benefits from integrating Version One’s document management into CODA: “Version One stood out in offering the required functionality at a cost that was within our budget. As well as having many years’ experience providing integrated document management systems to UK businesses, the company has a proven track record in the area of accounts payable. Version One’s DbCapture will help us reduce manual data entry and significantly reduce data entry errors. This will enable staff to concentrate on more value-adding activities. In addition, being able to track exactly where invoices are in the approval chain, which is currently impossible, will streamline the approval process, allowing us to improve communications with our suppliers whilst cutting late payment penalties.”

Using Version One’s technology, CODA users will be able to replace paper dominated accounting with electronic processes. Instant access to imaged documents via the CODA system will also enable more efficient accounting and streamlined supplier relationships.
