e-conomic partners with Fujitsu
e-conomic partners with Fujitsu for high quality hosting services
9th February 2009: e-conomic has signed an agreement with Fujitsu, the global IT and communications giant, for the managed hosting of its online accounting system for small and medium-size businesses. Fujitsu will deliver the highest level of internet accessibility and reliability to e-conomic’s customers so that they can log on to their accounts anywhere anytime, safe in the knowledge that their critical data is secure and backed up. Importantly, the deal will also give e-conomic the capacity to continue its aggressive growth plans, confident in its ability to offer the same level of high service to all new clients.
Mark Davies, managing director of e-conomic in the UK, said: “The success of a Software as a Service (SaaS) provider depends heavily on the level of accessibility and reliability it can give to its customers. Partnering with one of the foremost players in the market gives us a leading edge on service delivery.”
Fujitsu has invested heavily in its datacentres to ensure that they are equipped to the highest specification possible and include the latest environmental features. Some of the benefits that Fujitsu will provide for e-conomic’s customers are:
a service level agreement providing better than 99.9% availability;
24/7 monitoring of the entire system from storage area networks to firewalls;
a fully redundant infrastructure to ensure continuity of service - even a failure in the core database system can be handled virtually instantly;
service provision certified to DS/EN ISO 9001:2000.
Mark Davies added: “Our service is now used by over 17,000 client companies and 3,000 accountants and we expect our rapid growth to continue this year. It’s crucial that our customers receive the best possible service – this agreement with Fujitsu will help us deliver it.”
