Gail Perry, the managing editor of our US counterpart AccountingWEB.com, is looking for contributions to a new book she is penning about Excel macros.

The tome is to be written for people who are new to writing macros, so she's looking for basic macros that are useful to a wide range of business settings and that can be either recorded or programmed using straightforward techniques.

If you would like to have your favorite macros included in her book, please send an Excel worksheet containing the macro to Gail at gperry[AT]accountingweb.com with "Excel macro submission" as the subject line. Please include a brief description of how the macro can be used in practical settings and how the macro was recorded or tips for programming. Also say how you you would like your name to appear in the book's acknowledgements.

The book is scheduled for publication in September 2008. Much of the work that goes into it - as well as previous VBA contributions to this site - will feature in further updates to the ExcelZone Compendium.
