In this edition of the Excel Compendium we are going to look at some of the issues surrounding worksheets and ranges.

New workbooks and worksheets
When you create a new Excel workbook the initial number of sheets is defined by the ‘Sheets in new workbook’ option which can be found in the General tab of the Tools-Options screen. (Excel 2007: Excel Options-Popular, When creating new workbooks, Include this many sheets). You can set this option to a number between 1 and 255, the default is three.
