Industry bewildered by complexity of corporate reporting

This weekend in Colombo former CIMA president Norman Lyle delivered a paper that gave a snapshot view of boardroom opinions, and revealed a world in which finance directors are struggling to cope with the complexities of the new corporate report.

Focussing on the corporate reporting supply chain, CIMA’s latest research showed a near universal belief that while corporate governance has improved, the amount of time now spent on compliance is distracting accountants from operational issues.
