Tax and accounting professionals are being given the chance of learning at first hand the implications of electronic filing and the new Companies Act at the annual conference organised by software developers Digita.

With the majority of companies and their agents now embracing the benefits of electronic filing, the progressive commencement of the new Companies Act is set to change the landscape for company compliance in the UK.

Arthur West, Companies House Customer Insight Manager will brief delegates about the ongoing legal and technological developments at the conference which this year takes place at the Forest of Arden Hotel, near Coventry on 13-14 March.

Arthur West said: "We're currently experiencing record-shattering volumes of e-filed information. This financial year we're on track to exceed a massive 3 million e-filed documents, including over 170,000 electronic accounts."

Ian Manson, Digita’s Company Secretarial Product Manager, added: “Digita has established a reputation for the quality of its conference speakers and Arthur’s contribution over the past few years has been invaluable. He has consistently been amongst the most popular speakers and is very approachable when delegates need particular information.

“Having been at the forefront of revolutionising information access and exchange capability, he’ll be talking about how accountant’s usage of e-filing services has developed and how their attitudes to online filing are evolving. He will also outline the key Companies Act changes that affect companies and their agents.”
