Keytime is pleased to announce the launch of its new online bookkeeping package, Keytime Books.

Developed with the accountant foremost in mind, this new online package provides accountants in practice with a very easy to use, jargon free bookkeeping package that even their most technology resistent clients will be able to use.

This new system offers fully featured bookkeeping capability, but importantly gives the accountant full control over the functionality their client has access to.

For instance, a sole trader may only be given access to a cash book whereas a more sophisticated client business may be able to use the full range of functionality allowing them to dispense with an existing traditional accounting package.

One of the main benefits of online bookkeeping is simultaneous access to the data that an accountant and his/her client may be working on. This speeds up communication, ensures records are maintained accurately, mistakes are quickly picked up, resulting in reduced work for the accountant at the end of the financial year.

Importantly, Keytime sees this new module as part of its Accountants Suite and has built in functionality to ensure that the data in Keytime Books is integrated with Keytime Accounts Production to speed the production of statutory accounts, avoiding the need for rekeying of data and the errors that can creep in as a consequence.

And once the data is in Keytime Accounts Production, it is then able to flow through to the tax packages for the production of SA100’s, SA800’s and CT600’s. Again, this minimises any data rekeying and keeps the whole workflow in the electronic domain.

Keytime is running a series of webinars where accountants can see Keytime Books in action, the first one being 7 April 2009, followed by 23 April 2009 and every two weeks thereafter.

If you wish to book onto one of these webinars, please telephone 0161 484 3500 or email [email protected] stating your name, your firms name, address and telephone number - we will send a confirmation to you by return.

More information about Keytime Books can be found at the Books microsite - it also provides the ability to trial the system for 28 days so you can see for yourself how easy it is to use the system.
