London City Airports (LCA) has awarded a contract worth £100,000 to CedarOpenAccounts for the provision of an extended enterprise financial solution. The contract includes the implementation of OpenAccounts Financials core modules, eFinance, eBIS Exchange and OpenReporting along with ongoing maintenance and support. This will provide LCA with web-based purchasing and workflow functionality in order to centralise and control the procurement process across the airport and the LCA Jet Centre.

Opened in 1987, London City Airports now flies to nine destinations including Amsterdam, Brussels and D¼sseldorf. OpenAccounts OpenReporting will automatically produce financial reports, taking into account both financial and non-financial information, to provide real time management information for all LCA enfranchised users as and when required.

Selected ahead of competition from Microsoft Great Plains and Sun Systems, the OpenAccounts solution will also provide LCA with electronic document management capabilities. This will enable LCA to scan all of its purchase orders to provide online drill-down to original source documents for greater information and visibility.
