New PAYE-Master.NET for fast, efficient and painless payroll
A full re-write of the IRIS Software payroll product, PAYE-Master, using Microsoft.NET technology is complete and marks the latest in a continuing line of developments to the developer's Business Software range. PAYE-Master.NET is now the most comprehensive and user friendly payroll system for companies employing between 10 and 250 and is very competitively priced at £159 (plus VAT).
The software is used by 24,000 UK businesses and has consistently scored highly in the only independent research carried out into this specialist market (Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales). In the latest survey (October 2004), PAYE-Master has the equal highest rating for ease of use. It also has an intended recommendation rate significantly above average, at 96%, which suggests that customer loyalty is high among users of this package.
The new version, which has already gained re-accreditation from the Inland Revenue and been awarded the Payroll Standard, will reduce the time spent on payroll administration to a minimum. Information is presented in a graphical and easy to use format and payslips are calculated and printed within minutes, however complex the pay structure.
Enhancements include:
' Dockable task bars for quicker and easier selection
' Easy to use screens with a choice of views
' Export facility for all reports as pdfs, Microsoft Word documents and Excel spreadsheets
' Automatic setting of payroll run dates
' Absence recording feature
For those companies that may have not used payroll software before, the easy to follow installation instructions in the form of a tutorial will help to build confidence and guide the new user through each stage of the payroll process. A useful section on frequently asked questions raises straight-forward queries such as 'how do I change a tax code' as well as covering more unusual topics such as 'what do I do if the directors have not paid any employees' NI?' Hints and tips appear throughout the program and crucially for the new tax year, they include step by step instructions on how to file returns over the Internet.
This is a key feature for small businesses employing less than 50 employees, as use of the Internet Filing facility within the program will allow them to take advantage of the generous Government cash incentives that are available from 2005.
The IRIS business range now allows companies to incorporate all human resource activities ' payroll, personnel, the creation of P11Ds and book-keeping ' into a single fully integrated system sharing a centralised database.
