Accountants forecast slow economic recovery

African accountants are expecting the global economy to bounce back sooner than their European and Asian counterparts, according to a survey by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).

The survey of 805 ACCA members from 80 countries worldwide found that confidence had been lost in the sectors and countries that were once the engines of world economic growth.

The ACCA reports that the contraction in world trade has come as a shock to professionals in the Asia Pacific region, particularly China.
