CedarOpenAccounts has won a contract with CHILDREN 1ST, a leading Scottish child welfare charity, to provide the organisation with an integrated financial accounting and business performance reporting system.
The charity chose to replace its legacy Sun Finance System with the CedarOpenAccounts Financials and Reporting System for improved management and business performance reporting, budget routines and integration with existing back office systems. Go-Live is scheduled for May 2006, following data transfer from its existing Sun system and integration with the Raisers Edge fundraising system.
CedarOpenAccounts will also be implementing its eBIS workflow system which will allow the charity's office managers to request their own financial performance reports and enquiries via the web on a self-service basis. This will enable each of the local service offices to constantly have an up to date view of its own local operation and reduce paper-based processes. Go'live is planned for the final quarter of 2006.

Jacqueline Smith, Director of Finance at CHILDREN 1ST, commented, 'We are constantly looking at ways in which to improve our working practices. We selected the OpenAccounts system because of its promise of ease of use and efficient reporting and budgeting functionalities. It will assist in the management of our charity business and enable us to cost effectively extend our reporting capabilities via the web to all our local service offices. CedarOpenAccounts has a strong customer base in the Scottish charity sector and a clear understanding of charity requirements for financial systems.'

Grahame Marsden, Not For Profit Market Manager at CedarOpenAccounts stated, 'We welcome CHILDREN 1ST as a new charity customer to join our charity customer base in Scotland. CHILDREN 1ST considers the introduction of new web based technologies to be crucial to its business management and we look forward to supporting the charity for many years to come.'
