Election of third female president in ACCA history

The ACCA elected its third female president in its 103-year history, at its annual general meeting last week.

Gill Ball, finance director of the University of Birmingham, currently chairs the ACCA governance committee and is a member of the finance committee.

Ball commented that the role is “very special” because it is elected by the members. “It is a great responsibility to represent them by engaging with policymakers, government officials and a wide range of other stakeholders around the world,” she said.

I see this season is also the season for new presidents. ICAS and ACCA has new presidents, both ladies. Congratulations and let's hope a good and prosperous year ahead in developments, especially MRA with more IFAC members.

I wonder how we could get Matthew to be president or CEO of a RQB, especially AIA, so that he can show the way forward with his vast experience and knowledge in professional accountancy.
