Employing people is becoming a risky undertaking in the UK.

As well as the Government creating a seemingly endless torrent of new employment rules and regulations, a lot of them deriving from EC requirements, HMRC is devoting huge resources to extending the scope of tax and NIC into all areas of employer/employee relationships.

The financial cost of getting things wrong is daunting.
Professionals advising employers and employees therefore need to know what's happening and to equip themselves to recognise and deal with the myriad of problems that employment brings with it.

PTP are running a full-day conference which will give delegates a clear understanding of where current problems and opportunities lie and will suggest strategies to allow delegates to anticipate and to protect themselves and their clients from a wide range of employment-related legal and tax issues.

Topics will include a review of employment contracts, common problem areas with staff, working time directive, family friendly rights, dealing with long term sick leave and discrimination along with a detailed review of dealing with HMRC in enquiries and investigations relating to employees and employers.
