IFA member
..err, just how old are you, IFA member?
Welcome abroad the boat of questions
Isn't it great to have a CA running the show in IFA? I love to see developments in the IFA and also responses to those questions unanswered in the past.
Whilst members moaned over the huge expenditure of the ICAEW's failed merger attempt, IFA just did not court AIA into a merger when doors were opened. I wonder if AIA still admits IFA members for direct admission now.
Would IFA pursuade AIA to rekindle the merger issue?
As regards the way forward for the IFA, what plans does the president has in mind right at this moment? Mergers and more mergers? IFAC membership? MRA with recognised overseas bodies? Syllabus restructuring? Raising the standards of exams? What does IFA think of CPA London?....any plans for integration?
By the way, IFA logo is beautiful. Please don't change it. It cost ICAEW GBP 65 K to change theirs.
Thank you.
Strategic plans and developments

Please guide me further if there is a need.

Opportunity or is it
What is in store for the IFA and its members. Eric Anstee has also been co-opted on to the council. The IFA qualification has been mapped against the ICAEW with exemptions awarded. Looks like IFA council is making it a feeder body for the ICAEW. That is not acting in the interests of IFA members who deserve the IFA to be promoting itself and its members as fully qualified accountants not lesser ones who can then go on to become chartered. Professor TOTs(Sr) I too would like to see more from the IFA but after 90 years and little recognition for its members now it looks like it will be no more than a feeder body. Poor IFA members, have they finally been sold out.
