Intuit UK to sponsor Mango's new 'Best Practice' guide to financial management for Non-Governmental Organisations
Mango, a UK-registered charity that exists to help Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) to strengthen their financial management, today announced a unique sponsorship deal with Intuit UK.
Intuit, a leading provider of financial management software for small businesses, is sponsoring Mango's new online Guide to Financial Management for NGOs (freely available at www.mango.org.uk/guide). The Guide is expected to set a new standard in easily accessible practical financial management guidance for NGOs. Over 15,000 copies have been downloaded since the Guide was launched in December 2005.
The Guide is based on extensive practical experience and is especially designed to make it easy for busy NGO staff to apply good professional practice. Alex Jacobs, Director of Mango, commented: 'We are thrilled that Intuit has agreed to sponsor Mango's new Guide. Last year, NGO staff from over 100 countries downloaded over 20,000 copies of Mango's publications. Now we have revised and updated our guidance. We are hoping that with Intuit's support Mango's Guide can provide support to more NGOs all over the world. Our aim is for every NGO member of staff to have access to the Guide. We look forward immensely to working with the Intuit team to realise this vision.'
As part of this long-term corporate partnership, Intuit will also become involved in Mango's training programme. In 2005, Mango provided practical financial management training to over 1,000 NGO staff from 173 different organisations. By improving their financial management, aid agencies can substantially increase the effectiveness, efficiency and accountability of their operations.
Susan Lazareff, Managing Director of Intuit UK added: 'Sound financial management is an essential skill for any business and The Guide is an excellent resource for NGOs looking to better manage their finances. Intuit is committed to helping NGOs and small businesses grow and we are pleased to offer all Mango supporters a 15% discount on QuickBooks products.'
