AccountingWEB members have the opportunity to participate in a summit meeting of the profession’s leading practice development experts at the 2011 Accountants Conference.

US-based consultant and former Harvard professor David Maister, who coined the concept of the “trusted advisor”, will pass on the distilled wisdom from a successful career advising professional services firms. He will be joined by AVN founder and AccountingWEB.co.uk contributor Steve Pipe, PracticeTrack/PracticeWEB founder Mark Lloydbottom and Paul Dunn, who started the Accountants  Boot Camp revolution in the 1990s.

The four experts - all of whom are compelling speakers - will present their key insights for making your practice more successful on 23 June at the National Motorcycle Museum, Birmingham. This will be the first time and only time these giants of practice management ever share a stage.

The 2011 Accountants Conference will also bring together up to 700 delegates from three of the profession’s major communities: AccountingWEB.co.uk, AVN and the Accountants Club. Designed for partners and senior practitioners, the one-day event is designed to deliver an action plan of practical suggestions and shortcuts to deliver improved client service, better financial rewards and a more satisfying career.

Following the high-powered morning presentations, afternoon breakaway sessions will cover:

  • Social media for accountants
  • Growing your practice
  • Getting your pricing right
  • Succession planning

Delegates will be presented with guides, software tools and giveaways to help them put the ideas into action within their firms.

Tickets for the event (discounted to £198 until 31 March) are available from the shop@accountingWEB.
