Star TaskCentre will ease global practice assurance and compliance pressures

Star TaskCentre is the newest addition to the suite of Practice Management software from professional and commercial accountancy specialist, Star Computers Limited. Star TaskCentre is a powerful suite of BPM (Business Process Management) technologies that automates manual processes and employee-driven tasks, as well as integrating disparate computer systems and databases.

Star TaskCentre has been created to enable firms to monitor and report on key information proactively, dealing with a broad variety of business processes, and will be especially valuable when addressing issues relating to practice assurance and compliance.

Star TaskCentre is a proactive, event driven system that monitors the Star Practice Management database, extracting and reporting on key information, and identifying potential infringements. These are flagged automatically by email or SMS to staff so they can deal with situations immediately.

Importantly, Star TaskCentre can create automated business processes without altering the underlying configuration of the Star Practice Management system. This can extend, for example, across compliance and workflow, financial control, database integration and general administrative tasks.

For compliance and workflow, Star TaskCentre helps ensure that client work is completed on time, within budget, and that all necessary compliance deadlines are met. Financial control can be improved by better monitoring of relevant tasks such as client jobs that are approaching or exceeding budget, clients that are over their credit limits, and so on – details of which can be requested remotely by emailing a request to the system which sends a reply directly to the requesting PC or mobile device.

Star TaskCentre can also help resolve the problems of dealing with dispersed information across multiple databases – where standing data about clients might not be synchronised, for example – automatically informing people by email, of details of new clients or changes to standing data.

General administrative tasks also benefit from Star TaskCentre’s automation facilities. By creating a real-time, responsive infrastructure, business processes can be streamlined so that instead of being dependent on people extracting, formatting and distributing information from software applications, it is all handled automatically.

“Whether weekly or monthly report packs, notification of cash receipts or delinquent debts, reminding people to authorise draft bills – and even emailing clients to thank them for recent payments – there is no limitation to what Star TaskCentre can deliver.
