Following a successful January filing season for many, AccountingWEB.co.uk will be talking to HMRC about the service issues that members raised during the month, and identifying areas where members would like to see changes. HMRC are keen to engage with agents, and we have agreed to discuss the findings from our online poll with HMRC. Many members were very satisfied with the service, but there were some key niggles.
We shall also be taking the opportunity to raise other service issue points with the authority, and getting feedback from you is essential if we are to present your views. There is an Any Answers “Suggestions please” item for you to post your comments, or members can add comments to this article about HMRC service issues. We would like to tell HMRC what aspects of service you found helpful in January, and what you think could have been done better. We’ll then report back to you with HMRC’s responses.
We shall also be preparing a community response to the second Charter consultation which went live last week. A news item leads you to the consultation page, and HMRC has had a good stab at getting it all on a single sheet of A4. What do you think of the proposed Charter? You can respond online direct to HMRC, or post them on AccountingWEB.co.uk to get a good discussion going.
