At the beginning of March a tax amnesty was declared in Russia. It allows individual taxpayers and self employed entrepreneurs to declare untaxed income and pay 13% tax on it (the Russian flat rate, I believe), with no questions apparently asked. This includes income arising before 1 January 2006 which would normally have been taxed at 30%. This arrangement will last until 1 January 2008.
