Emergency Budget: Corporation tax analysis

Shimon Shaw offers an appraisal of the new corporation tax regime.
Companies did fairly well in the emergency budget (although arguably not banks or other VAT exempt businesses). There were a number of measures, some of which were announced in the March budget which will simplify matters, as well as some rate changes.

Is this an analysis?
With respect to the author, I'm not sure this can be classified as an "analysis". It simply restates what is in the Budget. That's a shame and I expect better of AccountingWeb.
I'm interested by the statement "companies did fairly well in the emergency budget...". That seems to be a fairly major understatement when you compare the impact of the Budget on other groups. It is perhaps evidence that business will NEVER be happy until they pay no tax. It certainly displays a lack of appreciation for the headline tax cuts they received, particularly after they have continually complained about corporation tax rates in recent years.
