HMRC to host iXBRL show at Stamford Bridge

The home of Chelsea Football Club will be filled with curious tax advisers and accountants on Wednesday 30 June, when HMRC holds an exhibition to promote systems for filing Corporation Tax information in iXBRL format.

From April next year, it will be mandatory for companies and their advisers to accompany their online CT600 submissions with computations and accounts tagged in the inline eXtensible Business Reporting Language format, iXBRL.

The free HMRC event http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/ct/ct-online-ex.htm will run from 9.30am until 5pm at Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge ground on Fulham Road, London SW6 1HS. The show will give suppliers such as Absolute Software, TaxCalc, CCH, Digita, Forbes, IRIS, Keytime, QMS and Sage an opportunity to demonstrate how their systems will cope with the new online filing requirements in April.

HMRC's Business Education and Support Team (BEST) will also be on hand to offer more general advice. To register your interest in attending, please telephone the BEST Workshop Bookings Team on Tel 0845 603 2691.

A second event focusing on accounts production software is planned for September 2010.
