Fuel rates

At last someone is lobbying for an increase for those driving their own cars for business, as I do, but who on earth has chosen the rates for the new fuel only rate effective from 1st July or 1st June by concession, they quote a diesel rate of 1.279 per litre, but by the time these rates were announced the average rate in the area I live was already 1.289, and now 1.309 so they are out of date already. If anyone else lives in the Midlands and can tell me where they can fill up at 1.279 after 1st July please tell us all!

When the 40p rate came in I could fill my tank for £40, now it costs over £80.00. My insurance was £600 back then but now I have been quoted £1,800 and the servicing cost has doubled too, yet it is the same car!
