Mileage allowance for self-employed
William posed a question about the authorised car mileage allowance for a self-employed person, in his query of 25 January 2007. The client was a self-employed project manager, with a turnover of about £35,000 p.a. His annual petrol bills come to about £4,500, and with the addition of other running costs and capital allowances, the total figure is £6,000.
