Osborne tax plans slammed by critics

Following accusations that their plans for tackling national debt were ‘hazy’, the Conservatives did their best to convince voters of their ‘credible plan’ to fix the economy yesterday, promising a Budget within 50 days if they are elected.

Shadow chancellor George Osborne said his party would look to eliminate a large chunk of the country’s £178bn budget deficit through a system of higher exports, business investment and savings.
