PAYE online goes offline from Wednesday until Monday

HMRC's PAYE Online services will be suspended from 10pm on Wednesday evening until 6am on Monday morning while upgrade work takes place. John Stokdyk reports.

With in-year filing of P46 and other forms due to become mandatory for firms with more than 50 employees from 6 April 2009, the department is re-engineering the online filing mechanisms to cope.

It is now Tuesday afternoon and having spoken to the helpline they simply have no idea when it will be restored

They did apologise for any inconvenience caused
