Record numbers file SA online

HMRC has confirmed over 6.4 million self assessment returns were submitted online this year.
HM Revenue & Customs has revealed that over 6.4 million self-assessments were submitted online by the 31 January deadline - a record number.
The figure is a 12% increase on 2009’s total, and represents nearly two thirds of all self assessment returns issued by HMRC every year.
