On line storage

I've just gone through the process of updating my practice's IT kit from when I started about 4 years ago. I too put in a 1TB hard drive on the network hub, but I also backed this up with some online storage. This is often bundled with either your web hosting provider or your ISP and is pretty reasonable in terms of cost. A regular backup to this online facility gives you execptional value for money when it comes to peace of mind. If you had a total loss of the office, and the USB memory stick backup you put in your pocket when leaving every night failed, got lost, stolen, broken (I agree not likely, but possible) then this is a pretty secure offsite disaster recovery option. It also gives you the option of being able to access your data from anywhere with an internet connection, always handy.
