Motorola has announced a new range of wireless products, ranging from a Blackberry-like keyboard phone to a pair of sunglasses with a headset built into the stems.

The Moto Q, the world's thinnest, lightest QWERTY mobile phone, looks like the offspring of Motorola's Razr flip phone and a Blackberry PDA ' hence many are already referring to it as the "Razrberry'! When it appears at the beginning of 2006 the Q will feature e-mail and voicemail running on Windows Mobile 5.0, bringing scalable and cost-effective mobile messaging support out of the box with Exchange 2003. Despite the diminutive size, the designers have even managed to fit in a 1.3 mega pixel camera - with flash.

Available this Summer will be the ultimate high tech beach wear, the Razrwire. This is a joint project by Motorola and Oakley sunglasses, a very trendy pair of shades with a built-in Bluetooth 1.2 headset. Photos suggest this is more a brand/image exercise since it looks pretty much like a pair of sunglasses with a lumpy Bluetooth headset fixed to one of the arms! Apparently it 'lets image conscious consumers experience hands-free, cable-free connections to Bluetooth-enabled mobile phones or other compatible devices' ' such as '?

Among other new announcements, Motorola has also unveiled the Ojo, a personal video phone that allows video mail with high-quality video and synchronized audio and Rokr, their upcoming portfolio of music phones, which will include phones that offer dedicated music keys, optimized music player interface, superior audio capability, extensive memory (internal or removable), and a long battery life.

No news yet though of the iTunes-compatible phone that the company first announced with Apple Computer last July. However, the company acknowledged the eager speculation around that device, promising that it would be available from major operators by the end of September 2005, but was not yet ready to officially be unveiled. Along with many iPod music and podcast fans we wait with bated breath!
