Gadget Watch: Toshiba Portege R500

Once the premier laptop/notebook PC manufacturer, Toshiba has spent many years as an also-ran to companies like Dell. However, it looks like it's about to pull ahead again with the new Portege R500 models.

Toshiba claims the new models offer the world's lightest widescreen 12.1" notebook PC in one configuration, and the world's thinnest widescreen 12.1" notebook PC with an integrated DVD-SuperMulti drive in another.
