Blogs are supposed to be 'personal' and have a bit of humanity to them.  If your corporate blog is just a bunch of regurgitated press-releases, then it'll be a waste of time (for you and your rapidly vanishing readers).

The best corporate blogs, in my opinion, have multiple contributors - each of whom has something interesting to talk about in a way that differs from the standard brochure 'face' of the company.  Having different voices under a single banner can ensure that different aspects of the business get an airing and injects some variety.

There are always concerns in some quarters that corporate blogs will wander 'off-piste' and say something the company would rather not have said in public, but if you trust your staff, and pick people with genuine enthusiasm for some aspect of their job, then it really can be an asset rather than a risk.

This is how Microsoft does a 'corporate' blog....(one of many)
