MessageLabs reports malicious websites double during March

Security software provider, MessageLabs, warned that its latest research showed cybercriminals were adapting their tactics by mixing email-based attacks with activities on the Web.

According to the MessageLabs Intelligence report for March 2009, there was a twofold increase in the number of potentially malicious websites intercepted by security software during the month, to 3,000 a day.

Over one-fifth of email-borne malware was found to link to malicious websites, the highest level for 10 months.
