Mobile apps for business - a working directory
Bolstered by its triumph as AccountingWEB’s Gadget of the Year for 2009, the iPhone continues to beef up its credibility as a business tool with a growing collection of business focused apps.
Unless, however, you are using your iPhone or are connected to one of the phone manufacturers' online app stores, it’s a bit of a slog to research available apps. Our thanks then to James Charles at TimesOnline, who got us thinking about this topic with a listing of the 25 best financial iPhone apps.
Starting with his suggestions, we’ve popped in a few other apps we’re aware of for iPhone and other smartphones. It’s by no means an exhaustive list - but with your help we can get there…

SJD's tax calculator
A colleague pointed me to SJD's Contractor, Freelancer, Small Business Tax Calculator which is available for free from the iTunes apps store. It helps users track their montly contract rate, invoiced amounts, monthly take home amounts and percentages of tax due.
We'll be following up with SJD to find out more about it, but if you're aware of any other useful apps for the iPhone or any other model, to let us know here and we'll add them to the directory.
