As a sole practitioner who was originally excited about SaaS, I have become disillusioned with the concept.

Admittedly I have only had experience of one product (Kashflow), but although I can see the benefit for a small business with a few transactions who don't mind sitting around and waiting for screens to refresh, etc, it seems to be very slow (presumably due to internet speed) to switch in and out of transactions and reports, which is what I need to do as an accountant. I still find that QuickBooks is far faster than my SaaS experience and gives better reports.

Until the speed issues are overcome I'll stick with QuickBooks, even though I'd like to be able to switch to SaaS because I can see advantages!
