Practice software suppliers back ICAEW data standard

The UK's practice software industry has reached an accord that should make it possible for users to transfer data between systems from different suppliers.

The ICAEW's IT Faculty brought together a group of supplies that included APS, CCH, Digita, Finapps, IRIS, MYOB, Practice Engine, Sage and Star Computers. As a result of these meetings, Digita came up with the first draft of a schema based around XML, the eXtensible Mark-up Language.
