Softworld ZoneReal Asset Management, the software developer formerly known as Britannia, is arriving at Softworld with a new Web-enabled fixed asset and inventory management system to show off.

Asset4000i shares all the main features of the company's Asset4000 suite, but allows the user to log in via a normal Web browser. By making it easy to enter data from any Web-equipped office PC, Asset4000i makes it easier for asset data to be collected, edited and reviewed, the company claimed.

The real boon, according to marketing manager Nicola Hanniford is for people who need to produce reports. "Instead of having to call on someone using the client/server system, they can call on the data themselves with Asset4000i," she said.

To protect the integrity of the asset register, Asset4000i encrypts data that is delivered over the Web and some input functions are restricted.

Softworld visitors will be able to claim a guide to evaluating and implementing fixed asset management systems by visiting the Real stand.
