SaaS for Startups

Despite searching what I think is fairly thoroughly across the last week or so, it is frustratingly hard to find software providers who offer a range of modules under one umbrella at an entry level price for startups.

There seem to be many who are developing or who have developed sound and robust accounting tools delivered on a SaaS basis, and likewise many with good CRM packages, stock control, e-commerce etc etc, but only a few who do more than one and offer a truly integrated solution.

What I can't understand is that what appeals to startups (in my opinion and based on talking to many and being one myself) is 4 things ....

1) Delivered over the web so they can login from anywhere
2) Everything under one umbrella - one supplier, one relationship, one number to call and one invoice to pay.
3) Realistic affordability on a SaaS basis with no upfront capex etc
4) Jargon free and easy to use for a non-accountant

The marketing and sales proposition for someone who gets this right is very powerful and the addressable market (there were 436,000 new startups in 2008 alone!) is enormous in the UK alone.

I'm reviewing ones that I come across on www.blog.sopris.co.uk so please let me know any providers out there that you think meet these criteria.

Thanks

Chris

IWAC : Integrated SaaS offering for startups
Hi Chris

Just thought I woudl let you know that we too came across the same problem when our clients (accountants and businesses) were askinng for a single source integrated SaaS solution. The offerings out there were disjointed or very expensive.

In response, Red IT Solutions Limited ( www.red-it.co.uk ) have created an integrated suite of Web based products called IWAC. This covers everything from accounting, webshop, CRM, bar code scanning, work flow, ...all supported by the same supplier! As a Sage and SAP businss partner, they also have access to all of the most common applications so can detail the costs and benefit differneces of available options.

Prices start from £50 / month (depending on number of users and modules) with no upfront capex which is also a very attractive charge.

The flyer can be found at http://www.red-it.co.uk/download/iwac_v2.pdf and you can also get more details by emailing [email protected].
