The National Theatre in London has upgraded its finance system to integrate a new SunSystems financials application with ncSoft's eProcurement module.

The installation was sourced and managed by Foundation Systems, the systems integration subsidiary of SunSystems.

National Theatre finance direct Lisa Burger explained, "We were looking for an effective financial management solution that would enable us to have an enterprise-wide view of our operations in real time.

"Our previous solution was proving to be rather rigid with many of our users finding it complex and difficult to manage. The result was that the system was not used effectively and the information generated was often inaccurate."

Foundation Systems impressed the National Theatre team with its understanding of the business and what the company was trying to achieve. "We are confident that Foundation has identified functionally rich solutions that meet our exact needs rapidly and cost effectively," Burger said.

While SunSystems gives the theatre an easier data input and analysis environment, the eProcurement module will give individual users access to a procurement system that draws together all the data on their committed, accrued and actual spends, Foundation explained.

Foundation managing director Hugh Scantlebury commented: "One of the key benefits of the SunSystems and ncSoft solutions is the ease with which they can be integrated. The combination of these technologies significantly enhances information input, extraction and analysis, which enables management to spend more time actually managing the business and not trying to generate and consolidate information from multiple data sources."

More information about the two applications and the Natinal Theatre installation are availble from the Foundation Systems website.
