Graham Wylie's Technology Services Group (TSG) continued its march south with the acquisition of Warrington-based IT reseller Forty One.

The deal was concluded last Friday, making it TSG's eight acquisition in little more than a year. Starting in Gateshead, the group has acquired companies operating in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, , Middlesbrough, Manchester, Sheffield and Leeds.

Forty One, which handles Sage, Pegasus Opera, Microsoft Navision and SAP Business One applications, extends the group's geographic reach further south into Cheshire.

Simon Cook, regional managing director for TSG North West commented, 'Forty One is a well-run business with extremely high standards of customer service and technical expertise. We will be combining Forty One's IT system infrastructure expertise with our existing Sage and Microsoft business software expertise to provide all of our customers with a more extensive service."

As the group continues to expand, TSG commercial director Nigel Hudson made it clear that it is still on the look out for high quality IT services businesses that fit with Wylie's overall plan to establish a IT services group that can cater for any business need.

As with some of TSG's previous deals, Newcastle accountancy firm UNW provided advice on the deal. Forty One was advised by Langtons.
