• Flexible Chart of Accounts enables more detailed business performance and revenue stream analysis
• Improved integration with management information systems

CODA Group, the finance software specialist, today announced that TheTrainline.com Limited has purchased its Financials software to improve Group financial reporting and analysis.

TheTrainline is the leading independent retailer of train tickets with over 8.4 million registered users. Through its websites and call centres TheTrainline retails the full range of tickets across all Train Operating Companies. Its subsidiary company Ecebs is a leading supplier of Smartcard technology across a diverse range of markets.

TheTrainline required a more sophisticated system than the one it was using for reporting and analysis across the business to account for revenue and costs by division, distribution channel and business channel.

“CODA proved that they have had some recent successes in the rail industry and the flexibility of the Financials software is exactly what we needed to analyse results across the business,” said Jon Mitchell, Group Finance Director at TheTrainline. “It is important to our success that we can be competitive across a range of markets. By integrating our finance system with our management information system we will be able to segment our business analysis, control costs and maximise our revenue opportunities.”

In addition to CODA’s Financials software, TheTrainline has purchased licenses for its XL reporting add-on, Procurement, Invoice Matching and Assets software.
