Top 10 most popular articles of 2010

As another year draws to a close it's time to take a look back at the most popular AccountingWEB.co.uk articles of 2010.
Not surprisingly, half of the top 10 articles were published in March – the result of a frantic month for accountants gearing up in time for the 5 April deadline and Budget announcements.
Accordingly, AccountingWEB.co.uk’s Budget 2010 guide took the top spot on our list with the Emergency Budget at-a-glance not far behind, highlighting both political change and continued uncertainty throughout the year.
Aside from the March/April spike in activity, other best read articles included a range of stories from directors’ loan accounts to investigation hotspots, holiday lets and HMRC.
