Document management and imaging software author, Version One (www.versionone.co.uk), is showcasing its full portfolio of purchase-to-pay (P2P) solutions on stand AF300 at Softworld Accounting and Finance 2007 (17-18 October 2007 in Hall 18, NEC, Birmingham).

These solutions, targeted at senior finance personnel, automate the entire P2P process from receipt of invoice through to paying the supplier. A Masterclass session by Paul Addington, Finance Change Programme Manager from leading children’s charity, NCH (at 12:30 on 18 October 2007), will also highlight the many benefits of using Version One’s technology to improve P2P. Benefits include increased efficiency, greater control over paying suppliers and considerable cost savings.

Version One’s P2P solutions automatically capture and verify information from inbound invoices and this information is then uploaded to the core accounting system. Invoices and all supporting documents are electronically stored in the archive (which is tightly integrated into the accounting system) and the authorisation process is automated. Once an invoice has been approved, payment can be made using Version One’s DbBACS-IP payment technology and the remittance advice can be instantly delivered by electronic mail or automated fax.

Catherine Murphy from Version One says, “By using Version One’s systems, organisations can revolutionise their purchase-to-pay processes including cutting costs, improving operational efficiency and reducing late payment penalties. Companies that continue to process invoices manually are operating inefficiently and essentially throwing money down the drain!”
