About me

I am a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Acountants in Ireland and have been in practice for over a quarter of a century. In the last decade I have become increasingly involved in forensic acounting work both in criminal and civil cases. The advent of the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 has greatly increased the demand for forensic accounting services and for a number of years I was a member of the Accountancy Panel to the Police Service of Northern Ireland.

I live and work in Londonderry and in addition to working in practice I was recently appointed as a Visiting Professor at the Business School of the University of Ulster at its Magee campus in Londonderry. I am involved I drawing up a module on Forensic Accounting for a recently launched degree in Accounting and Managerial Finance  and I will be delivering the lectures on this module next academic year.

I have previously been a Visiting Fellow at the Centre for Investigative Security and Police Sciences at London city University
