14 month period final accounts to strike off

14 month period final accounts to strike off

Didn't find your answer?

I have a client that commenced trading (limited company) have now decided to wind up the company.  Have prepared 14 month period accounts (to date of cessation) filed Corporation tax returns.

Am I correct that once we commence strike off proceedings, I don't actually need to file these accounts with Companies House?

Just checking, thanks in advance

Yes

You are not correct in the sense that the Companies Act imposes an obligation on the directors to prepare and file accounts, but in practice, Companies House do not want any more filings after a proposal to strike off has been made.
