Afternoon folks!
It's another Friday and, as well as my mug appearing in your feeds again, we've all got an extra long weekend to look forward to. On the topic of this bank holiday, will you be setting out some time off for Monday, or are things too manic to even consider switching off at the start of next week?
Also, with burnout still remaining an issue in the industry, are bank holidays really just holidays in name only for many accountants? Of course, I for one hope you all manage to give yourselves a bit of well-earned R&R over the next few days.
Thanks again, and as always, looking forward to hearing from you all.

Oh yes - I have loads of time off.
Friday - rebuilding my MGBGT before I sell it
Saturday - At the narrowboat as it's MOT is due soon
Sunday - Down't pub....
Monday...boat/pub/MG (all/none) who knows...
Is the uncertainty of Monday related to the activity of Sunday?
Long weekend, hell yeah. Having said that, I have a work ethic that means I'll probably check in and, at the very least, reply to anything that may not wait (we all have those clients)
Lawns, hedges, strimming, weeding; wash and clean cars, clean gutters, outside windows, treat mould in spare bathroom, paint bathroom ceiling; power hose patios. Clean BBQ, weed-killer the drive, make website changes. That's Saturday.
Sunday: BBQ and vin rouge; possibly teach son #1 how to change nappies / feed / burp newly arrived grandson.
Bank Holiday Monday: chill. You're spot-on, Will... the bank holiday is the only relax day. I vote for a 4 day week every week! (And why not?)
Have a good weekend!
Congratulations on newly arrived grandson I'msorryIhaven't a clue!
After the BBQ and vin rouge, it may not just be him that needs burping :).
Bank holidays are a waste of space. Just give everyone 5.6 weeks off.
Actually, somebody's already thought of that.
Sat afternoon & Sunday - family time.
Monday - morning swim then volunteering at a vaccination clinic in the afternoon, giving boosters to the over 75's
Bank holidays????
Oh yes, I remember. Isn't that where everyone gets in their cars and sits on the motorway for 5 hours on the pretext of having fun?
Blooming French system - if the 1st falls on a weekend, we lose it. 8th should be a bank holiday too.....
Next year we get 2 long weekends... silver linings
